If you set the cut-off date exactly the same as the due date, no late submissions will be accepted. Then set the date and time in the drop-down boxes. To set a cut-off date (after which the system will no longer accept submissions), check the “Enable” checkbox. The “Due date” must be after the “Allow submissions from” date.
If you uncheck all of the “Enable” checkboxes, the assignment will be available to students for the duration of the course. To make assignment submissions available for only a set period of time, click the “Enable” checkboxes next to “Allow submission from” and “Due date.” Update the date and time drop-down boxes accordingly. The following information details the various settings that are available for an Assignment.
If you would like to edit an assignment at a later date, navigate to the section in which you created the assignment and, with editing turned on, click the red “Edit” button beside the assignment and select Edit Settings. If you choose to exit now, click Save and return to course to return to the course’s landing page or Save and display to see the assignment in its section. There are many optional settings for assignments, and they may be configured now or later by editing the assignment. If you would like the Description to display on the course page, click the option underneath the text box. Provide a Description for the assignment.
